Teresa Lynn (Tee Tee) Ledford

December 28, 1960 - May 1, 2022

Teresa Lynn Ledford (Tee Tee), age 61, of Greensboro, NC, the loving mother of two boys, passed away peacefully on May 1st, 2022, after a courageous yearlong battle with leukemia. She was born in Greensboro, NC on December 28, 1960, the daughter of the late John Benson and Thelma Leona Jessup Ledford. In addition to her parents, Teresa is preceded in death by her beloved sister, Christine Annette Ledford Ellington. She is survived by her sons, Brandon Michael Welborn (Jessica), Jonathan ‘Travis’ Welborn (Laura), and her dearly loved grandchild, Jaclyn Leona Welborn; brothers, Steven Lee Ledford (Lisa) and John Dawson Ledford (Katie); nieces and nephew, Taylor Ledford, Ryan Sutphin (Jessica), Ashley Watkins (Bart); aunt and uncle, Josephine Shelby Jessup Case and Marvin Bascom Case, and many cousins. Teresa attended Western Guilford Highschool and GTCC in Greensboro. She earned a NC Real Estate Broker License and practiced Real Estate for most of her professional career in Wilmington, NC. Teresa also served several years on the board of directors for the NC Domestic Violence Shelter in Wilmington, NC and was recognized for her dedication and work for the organization. Teresa loved professional football all her life and was an avid Carolina Panthers fan. A memorial service will be held at Forbis and Dick Guilford Chapel, located at 5926 W. Friendly Ave, Greensboro, NC 27410, on Saturday, May 21st, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral prior to the service.
