Randall "Randy" A. Neustel

October 16, 1954 - October 28, 2021

Randall “Randy” A. Neustel, 67, of Greensboro, NC passed away on October 28, 2021. He was born on October 16, 1954 in Pensacola, FL to Arthur (deceased) and Barbara Neustel. The second of three children, he was predeceased by his older brother Gary Neustel and is survived by his younger sister Sandra Neustel. As the son of a US Navy Lt. Commander, Randy and his family traveled the world. He began a lifelong hobby of philately during his family’s residence in Chile. An avid collector, Randy also enjoyed collecting Occupied Japan memorabilia and music in various formats. He was a lifelong fan of The Beatles and a gifted amateur photographer. After graduating from The Citadel in 1976, Randy married Margaret Neustel in 1977. He proudly served his country as a US Marine. Randy and Maggie became residents of Greensboro in 1983 after his honorable discharge from the Marines. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years in various positions. Randy is survived by wife Margaret Neustel and their three children, Jillian Neustel, Jacqueline Neustel, and Benjamin Neustel. A memorial service will be held at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church on Saturday, November 6 at 11 a.m. Video streaming will be available for those unable to attend in person. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Hamil-Kerr Challenge Foundation for Parkinson’s, Inc., P.O. Box 1963, Jamestown, NC 27282 or on their website, www.hamilkerrhallenge.com or St. Barnabus Episcopal Church, 1300 Jefferson Rd., Greensboro, NC 27410.
