Mrs. Naomi Baker Gauldin, 88, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at the Hospice Home in Wentworth. Naomi was born in Stokes County on March26, 1934, the daughter of the late Wilburn and Ida Collins Baker. She was an expert seamstress, often doing alterations for family and friends. In her spare time, you could find her enjoying a Word Search or watching one of her favorite game shows on television. Her treasure on earth, though, was time spent with family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents and brothers and sisters, Naomi was preceded in death by her husband Mr. James Carlton Gauldin, Sr. in 1985. Surviving are her son James C. ‘Jimmy’ Gauldin, Jr. of Stokesdale; daughter Cathy Christiansen (Ray) of Oak Ridge; 4 grandchildren Wayne Stump (Angie), Travis Stump (Lauren), Jody Stump, and Jensen Gauldin; great grandchildren Asher Gauldin and Averi Rivera as well as several others. Please take a moment to share a special memory of Mrs. Gauldin. Forbis & Dick – Stokesdale is serving the Gauldin family.
