Marguerite "Skeet" Debnam

December 3, 1925 - May 30, 2022

Marguerite “Skeet” Debnam, age 96, of Greensboro passed away Monday May 30th, 2022, at the Whitestone Care & Wellness Center. Skeet was born December 3, 1925, in Greensboro, North Carolina to the late Mary and Wade Foushee. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a lover of all animals especially the many dogs she took care of. All her life she was an active member at College Place United Methodist Church. She regularly volunteered with Greensboro Urban Ministry, Red Cross, and local hospitals. She was also an Amateur Extra class licensed HAM radio operator, a hobby she enjoyed and she took much pride in. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert Debnam. She is survived by her children Sean Debnam (Sharon) and Kelli Lewis. Also, surviving is grandchildren Hanna Dunn (Zac), Caroline Dean (Colin), Katie Debnam, and David Everest; great-grandchildren, Lucy and Sawyer Dunn. Also surviving is her best furry companion, Robbi. A funeral service will be help at 3pm Friday June 3rd, 2022, at Westminster Gardens Mausoleum. There will be a family visitation immediately following the service in the mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Greensboro Urban Ministry or Medi Home & Hospice (317 S. Talbert Blvd; Lexington, NC 27292). The family wishes to thank the staff of Whitestone, a Masonic and Eastern Star Home, which was her home for the past twenty years. We also want to thank the caregivers who made it possible for her to remain in her cottage for the past several years.
