Linda Mahaffey Prevette

December 13, 1952 - November 10, 2021

Linda Mahaffey Prevette,68 passed away November 10, 2021 at Moses Cone Hospital. She was born in Greensboro to the late Sherriff Mahaffey and Stella Cass Mahaffey. She Graduated from Page High School and worked for Sears Mail Order for 25 Years. Linda was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and person. She loved all her family deeply and cherished all the time spent with each of them as well as all her friends. She loved Cooking and was very good at it. Loved being outdoors working in the yard spring and fall and spending time with her husband. In 2001 she learned she had colon cancer. The cancer never came back but the effects of the treatments caused other issues of which after 20 years took her to be with the lord. In addition to her Mother Stella Linda is survived by her husband Kenneth Prevette Sr; Sons Kenneth Prevette Jr (Carrol) and Kevin Prevette (April; grandchildren Courtney and Trevor Prevette, Meighan and Haley Denny; great grandchild Adalyn Wray; one sister Shirley Alcon (Jerry); three brothers Chester Mahaffey (Mazie), Cutis Mahaffey (Cynthia), and Charles Mahaffey A celebration of Linda’s life will be held 2:00 pm Sunday November 21, 2021 at Gospel Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
