Gregory, Larry Gene Sr. of Greensboro, NC passed away April 30, 2022. Larry was born to Albert and Mable Gregory on July 21, 1937 at his Grandmother’s home in Durham, NC. Larry was a member of the Revolution Lodge 552, Greensboro, NC, a member of the Oasis Shriners in Charlotte, NC, the past President of the Greensboro Shrine Club (Formerly the Oriental Shrine Club) and a past Captain of the Oriental Shrine Band. Larry was also a member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association and past Business Manager of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 159 and now Local 5. Larry is Survived by his daughter, Donna Gail Gregory Solomon and husband, Arnie, Pleasant Garden, NC and son Larry Gene Gregory, Jr, Liberty, NC. Three grandsons, Michael Gene Gregory and wife, Elizabeth Cheyenne Rawle, Liberty, NC, Christopher Sean Greene, Greensboro, NC and Kevin Bradford Greene, Raleigh, NC. Four Great-Grandchildren, Brooke Gregory, Addison Gregory, Gavin Gregory and Willow Gregory. Sister, Barbara Denise Gregory Turner and husband, Ricky, Durham, NC and brother Glenn William Gregory “Jimmy” and wife, Linda, Kernersville, NC. Larry is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Hyatt Gregory, mother and father Albert Nelson Gregory “Buck” and Mable Irene Gregory and sister Bonnie Faye Gregory. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Forbis & Dick Pleasant Garden Chapel. A funeral service will be held at Forbis & Dick Pleasant Garden Chapel on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 10:00am. A graveside service with Masonic Rites will follow the funeral service at Gilmore Memorial Park, Julian, NC.
