April 16, 1939 - January 7, 2022
Johnny Sizemore, 82, transitioned to his heavenly home on January 7, 2022. He was born April 16, 1939, in Yadkin County to the late Paul Sizemore and Annie Mae Carter Sizemore Bland. The Forbis and Dick Pleasant Garden Chapel will serve the family through visitation Tuesday, January 11, from 6 PM to 8 PM and a Memorial Service Wednesday, January 12 at 1 PM. Interment will follow next to his mother at Westminster Gardens of Greensboro. Cowboy Church and visiting friends at Carolina Stockyards were the highlights of his week. He frequented the local cafes, making friends and enjoying their fellowship. Johnny enjoyed riding his tractor and caring for cattle, horses, and chickens. However, his greatest joy was talking about the Lord and His goodness. He looked forward to heaven and encouraged everyone to “make preparations.” He was adored and loved by his family, which includes his wife of sixty years, Patsy Sizemore, and two sons Randy (Lisa) and Walter “Mickey” (Ronda). He loved all his grandchildren, including Mickey’s children, Cindy (Bradley) Lovelace and Chad, Randy’s children, David and Hannah, and many nieces and nephews. He also loved as his own the children of Mickey’s second family, including Autumn (Chris) Linsinbigler, Dayna (Josh) Evans, and great-grandson Levi, as well as Annette (Wayne) Watterson, the daughter of dear friends. He is also survived by a half-sister, Janet (Earnest) Bruce, and two half-brothers, Richard and Eddie (Melanie) Sizemore. His parents and sisters Martha (Joseph) Sheek, Alta Mae (Frank) Dorrity, Sylvia Lee Sizemore, and a half-brother Ricky Sizemore preceded him.
