Jimmy Lewis Piper Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jimmy Lewis Piper of Jamestown, NC passed away on June 15, 2022 at Wesley Long Hospital. He was 82 years old. A Celebration of Life service will be at 2:00pm on Sunday, June 26 2022 at Forbis and Dick Funeral Chapel in Pleasant Garden, NC. Visitation will follow. Jimmy was born on November 15, 1939 in Alamance County to the late Clyde Fleming Piper and Velna Allred Piper. He graduated in 1958 from Walter Williams High School in Burlington NC. He was a co-owner of Austin-Berryhill Fabricators in Greensboro, NC. Jimmy was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Liberty, NC. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his brothers Charles Piper and Jerry Piper, as well as his sisters Peggy Williams and Francis Jeffreys. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret “Deane” Sawyer Piper, daughters Sheri Yaffey (Bryan) and Deena Millen (Lynn), grandchildren Derek Yaffey (Jessica), Megan Yaffey, Casey Millen, Jadea Millen, and Ashton Millen, as well as two great-granddaughters Renae and Emma Yaffey.
