Jeffrey John Gallagher

Jeffrey “Jeff” John Gallagher, 70, of Greensboro, NC passed away Friday March 26th, 2021 at Moses Cone Hospital. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday April 7th, 2021 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church on Horse Pen Creek Road. Face masks are required. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, he taught history and physical education at St. John’s Preparatory School in Danvers, MA. After teaching, he became a licensed insurance agent and spent approximately 30 years with State Auto Insurance Companies. He was a former President of the Greensboro Insurance Claims Association, served as a board member for Our Lady of Grace Catholic School, and was a member of the Nights of Columbus. He was a devoted husband and loving father, that always helped coach his children’s sports teams. Jeff will most certainly be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. Jeff is preceded in death by his son John Frederick Gallagher, his parents Fred and Marge, his older brother Freddy Gallagher, and his brother-in-law Laurence Kaine. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years Judith Ann Gallagher, his daughter Jacklyn Marie Gallagher, his sister Karen Kaine, brothers Richard Gallagher (Jane) and Michael Gallagher (Melody), and many nieces and nephews.
