Jean Capps Wyatt

March 21, 1931 - May 8, 2022

Mrs. Jean Capps Wyatt, 91, died Sunday, May 8, 2022, at Ashton Health and Rehabilitation. A service celebrating her life will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 13, at Coble’s Lutheran Church in Julian, NC with Pastor Terry Dorsey officiating. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Charlotte, NC. Mrs. Wyatt was born on March 21, 1931 in Mecklenburg County. She resided in Charlotte with her family for 36 years before adventure took them to North Myrtle Beach, where they lived for 27 years. They had many wonderful years while operating the cafe on the Windy Hill Pier. Along with being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was also a mother-figure to many neighborhood children. She had a lasting impact on each and every one of them. Her priorities in life centered around her family and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jean was a member of Southeast Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Luther and Addie Blanche Capps; husband, James P Wyatt Sr., infant son, James P. Wyatt Jr.; son, Ronald Kent Wyatt Sr.; brother, Wilford Capps; sisters, Ruby Smith and Patricia Nicholson. Survivors include daughter, Cindy Garrett and husband, John of Julian; son, Randy Wyatt of Julian; grandchildren Christan Jackson (Christopher) of Dunn, Joani Bowman (Kevin) of Julian, Kent Wyatt (Julie) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Rebekah Faulk (Adam) of Nakina, NC, Payton Wyatt of Conway, SC and Emily Wyatt of Conway, SC; great-grandchildren, Connor Jackson of Dunn, Chloe Jackson of Dunn, Liam Bellamy of Nakina, NC, Coble Bowman of Julian, and Willow Jean Wyatt of Myrtle Beach, SC. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 pm prior to the service on Friday at Coble’s Lutheran Church. Memorial donations may be made to Coble’s Lutheran Church, 5200 Coble Church Road, Julian, NC 27283 or to Southeast Baptist Church, 5011 Liberty Road, Greensboro, NC 27406. Pleasant Garden Chapel is serving the Family.
