James Anders Regan

Whitsett, NC—U.S. Navy Petty Officer 1st Class James Anders Regan passed in the early morning hours of Thursday, April 28, 2022. The family will receive friends at the burial service which will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Clarkton Cemetery, 9525-9653 US 701 Business, Clarkton, NC 28433. James was born December 12, 1923, in Lumberton, NC. He was 98 years of age. James served his country in the US Navy during WWII, and afterward he joined the US Naval Reserve, serving a total of 27 years in the US in the US Navy. James was retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve and was also retired from the City of Greensboro, Lake Townsend Filter Plant, where he was Chief Plant Mechanic. After retiring from there, James continued to work for a number of years at Holt Manufacturing Inc. in Burlington, NC and afterwards at Aero Accessories in Gibsonville, NC until his health declined. James is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Peggy B. Regan; his son, Michael D. Regan both of Whitsett.
