Ina Pearl Petree Shouse

MOCKSVILLE—Mrs. Ina Pearl Petree Shouse, 93, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Davie Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on June 3, 1928, in Forsyth County, to the late Julius B. and Elsie Thomas Petree. Mrs. Shouse was a member of Woodland Baptist Church for over 40 years and later attended Baux Mountain Baptist Church. She was a devout Christian woman who loved her church, enjoyed playing the piano, and collecting bells. Ina will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother, who dedicated her life to caring for children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by death by her husband, Jessie Jacob “Buddy” Shouse, Jr.; and two sisters, Susan Ann Brown and Frances Ellis. Survivors include her son, Tim Shouse (Linda) of Mocksville; three grandchildren, Jennifer Manor (Eddie), Melissa Yountz (Buck), and Bryan Shouse (Michelle); six great-grandchildren, Bradley Manor, Dakota Thompson (Megan), Lauryn Yountz, Nicole, James, and Hailey. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall, with Pastor Sheila Frost officiating.
