Gary Dean Naylor

April 9, 1948 - January 15, 2022

MOCKSVILLE – Mr. Gary Dean Naylor, 73, of Ollie Harkey Road, passed away at his home and went to be with Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Gary was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was born on April 9, 1948, in Davie County, to the late Lester Franklin and Dorothy Lee Reavis Naylor. Mr. Naylor worked at Gravely Tractor at Clemmons for 20 years and later drove a delivery truck for O’Reilly Auto Parts. Gary was hardworking, loved the outdoors, cutting wood and yard work. He had great love for his family and friends. He especially enjoyed playing with his grandsons and family vacations. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Denise Naylor. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Delphia Speer Naylor; his daughter, Jacquelyn N. Chilton and son-in-law, Christopher R. Chilton and twin grandsons, Paxton G. Chilton and Bennett D. Chilton. Survivors also include four brothers, Roger Dale Naylor (Darlene), Terry Franklin Naylor (Martha), David Lee Naylor and Roy Lester Naylor (Pam) all of Mocksville; several beloved nieces and nephews; and one aunt, Geneva Renegar. The family would like to say a special thanks to their church family, neighbors and Hospice. Every prayer and deed of kindness is greatly appreciated. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 22, at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Noel Hawks officiating. Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Naylor on Friday, January 21, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Eaton Funeral Home.
