Furman Jefferson Lindsay III Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jeff Lindsay passed away very peacefully on Thursday, July 28,2022. Jeff was born in Greensboro, NC to Furman Jefferson Lindsay, Jr and Ruth duTremblay Kutos on September 7,1942. He was predeceased by his parents and nephew Chris Lindsay. He is survived by Kay Jones, brothers Michael Lindsay (Becky) of Palm Coast, FL and Scott Kutos (Debbie) of Greensboro, NC and sister Carol Arnold (Tony) of Brandon, FL Jeff is also survived by nephews Michael Lindsay (Karin), David Kutos, Robbie Kutos (Christie), Cory Arnold, and nieces Katie Lindsay (Chris Moorman) and Stephanie Mabry (Will). Jeff loved his family and Kay's family. He always enjoyed sharing special days and events with family, but he also enjoyed just being with them. Jeff had tremendous pride in the business he owned and operated for nearly forty years. He made many life-long friends through his business. Families throughout the Piedmont benefited from his expertise and the craftsmanship of his employees. Much of his work was generated by his reputation and referrals from satisfied customers. Being of strong faith, Jeff was supportive of many area churches, church organizations and ministries. He loved being in church and experiencing the spirit, music and fellowship of the church. He was a faithful follower and witnessed to many. In the early part of his life, Jeff worked hard to overcome obstacles and hardship. Because of those experiences, he was compassionate and generous to others who were struggling. He mentored and counseled others and helped them achieve success in their own lives. After graduating from Greensboro Senior High School (Grimsley High School), Jeff and two of his classmates joined the Army National Guard. He was very proud of being in the military, and often spoke fondly of those years. At a private family service held at a later date, Jeff will be interred with Military Honors at Forest Lawn Cemetery Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Plot (Veterans Circle). Jeff was a good, hard-working, loving man. He will be missed by many, but he will be forever in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to a charity of the donor's choice.
