Elnora DIshmond Roach

Elnora Marie Dishmond Roach, 89, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at her home. Mrs. Roach’s funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 21 at Stokesdale Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Westminster Gardens. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at her home where she will lie in state on Thursday. A native of Rockingham County, Mrs. Roach was born on October 17, 1932 the daughter of the late Joe and Mary Chandler Dishmond. She was a member of Stokesdale Baptist Church and love to crochet and make pillows. Her treasure on earth though was her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Roach and siblings Esther Hudson, Ellen Paschal, Flossie Strader, Eva Osborne, Virginia Hudson, Henry Dishmond, Howard Dishmond, Ada Roach, Gladys Barts, and Pearl Roach. Surviving are children Frances Roach of Roxboro, Jimmy Roach of Madison, Rebecca Roach (Bobby) of Roxboro, Michael Roach of Madison, Dale Roach (Mary) of Summerfield, Timothy Roach (Dana) of Summerfield; 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren. Special appreciation is extended to granddaughter, Wendy Wrenn, for the loving care and attention shown to her grandmother over the last several months.
