Donald Ray Jones

MOCKSVILLE – Mr. Donald Ray Jones, 74, of No Creek Road, died Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at his home. He was born on May 29, 1947, in Davidson County, to the late Lonnie Bonce and Mary Louise Foster Jones. Don was a member of Fork Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was very involved in veterans service in the church. He retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and always enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Dorothy Caudle Jones; his son, Chuck Jones of Mocksville; his brother, Gene Jones (Joyce) of Advance; two nieces, Kristi Lanier (Ken) and Wendi White (Jamie) all of Mocksville; his mother-in-law, Betty Caudle of Mocksville; and a brother-in-law, Dennis Caudle (Angie) of Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be conducted at 12 p.m., Saturday, February 5, at Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors conducted by the U.S. Air Force. The Fork Baptist Church veterans will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 4, at Eaton Funeral Home.
