Dolores Pegram Higgins

August 6, 1955 - March 21, 2022

Mrs. Dolores Pegram Higgins, 66 of Greensboro, died at her home on Monday, March 21, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on March 26, 2022 at Pleasant Ridge Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall beginning at 1:00 pm. Mrs. Higgins was born on August 6, 1955 in Guilford County, NC to John Howard Pegram and Maxine Bennett Pegram of Oak Ridge. She had worked for CBL and Associates at Friendly Center and Hanes Mall until retirement. Dolores was a member of Pleasant Ridge Christian Church where she taught Bible School and sang in the choir. She was a craft-lover known for her basket weaving, enjoyed flower gardening, loved singing and playing piano, and was an avid Carolina Hurricanes fan. In addition to her parents, remaining to cherish her spirit are her husband of 48 years, James Higgins, sons Zack Higgins and wife Josipa, Justin Higgins, all of Greensboro; sister Stacy Inez Gregory of Yadkinville; brother John Howard “Bucky” Pegram Jr. of Kernersville, and grandson Benjamin Higgins. Words cannot express how much we thank you for the expressions of sympathy, and all the help you provided us during our moment of sorrow. We are truly grateful for your friendship and support.
