Brenda Cocklereece Singleton

June 7, 1944 - January 29, 2022

Brenda Cocklereece Singleton, 77, went home to be with the Lord January 29, 2022, with her husband, son, and daughter by her side. She was born in Greensboro, NC and graduated from Rankin High School in 1962. Brenda most recently lived in Mexico Beach, FL and Tallahassee, FL. She retired from John H. Harland in 2002 after 28 years of service. She loved her family as a wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Norma (Cleo) Cocklereece, as well as brothers, Ronald and Terry Cocklereece. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Earl K. Singleton of Tallahassee, FL, son Earl K. Singleton III (wife, Sherry) of Orange Park, FL, Daughter, Dacia D. Hargrove (husband, Wade) of Tallahassee, FL, five grandchildren, a sister, Barbara Crow (husband, Johnny) of Asheville, NC, a brother, Larry Cocklereece (wife, Millie) of Stoneville, NC as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday evening, February 6. 2022 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Forbis and Dick Funeral Service, 1118 North Elm Street, Greensboro, NC. Interment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 N. O ’Henry Boulevard, Greensboro on Tuesday, February 8 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at Forbis and Dick Funeral Service, 2:00 p.m., conducted by Reverend Richard Nunn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Boulevard, Tallahassee, FL, 32308-5428.
