Ann Hudson Mills Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ann Hudson Mills GREENSBORO – Ann Hudson Mills passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Guilford Memorial Park. Mrs. Mills was born November 17, 1938, in Greensboro. She graduated from Grimsley High School in 1956, attended UNC-G and graduated from Appalachian State University with a B.A. in Elementary Education. She taught in the Guilford County Schools for many years and after her retirement, she continued to teach children by being a private tutor. She also taught adults in the Reading Connection program. Ann touched the lives of many people and she encouraged each student to continue learning and pursue their academics. Ann was known for her outgoing personality, sense of humor and her dedication to her family and friends. She was active in the community as a volunteer with Reading Connections, the Senior Resource Center, Reach to Recovery with the Cancer Society, and in her former church, College Place Methodist Church. Ann enjoyed playing golf and social activities. Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Addison Franklin Hudson and Myrtle Mae Harper Hudson and her husband of 50 years, William Joseph Mills. Ann is survived by her son, Mark Addison Mills, her brother, John Hudson of Washington, North Carolina and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to acknowledge, with great appreciation the many friends who enriched her life.
