Aaron "Bill" Poole

Aaron “Bill” Poole, 94, passed away April 5, 2022, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. A 3:00 p.m. graveside service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Lakeview Memorial Park. Bill was born May 31, 1927, to the late George and Minnie Poole. He was a member of Gospel Baptist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was stationed at Pearl Harbor. Bill was a master carpenter and hard-working business owner and operator. He especially loved spending time with his family and was always willing to help others. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Marie Poole. Additionally, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jay, and Jimmy Poole, as well as sisters, Lela Williams, Louise Shaffer and Thelma Fields. Surviving is a daughter, Linda Honeycutt (Kenny) and a son, Danny Poole (Laura). Also surviving is a sister, Edna Townsend (Frank) as well as grandchildren, Scott Honeycutt (Melette), and Derrick Poole. Additional survivors include one great-granddaughter, Stephanie Jeffcoat, (C. J.). Other survivors include sisters-in-law, Christine Stone and Geneva Poole, and a host of nieces and nephews.
