    Forbis and Dick Funeral Service was founded in 1957 by A. Lee Forbis and George P. Dick, after having served the citizens of Greensboro and Guilford County since 1936 at Forbis and Murray Funeral Home. The Forbis and the Dick families are well known to the citizens of Guilford County.

    Guilford Chapel

    In the early 1970′s Mr. Forbis and Mr. Dick saw the need to establish a second funeral home location in the western part of the city. In 1974, Forbis and Dick – Guilford was constructed on W. Friendly Avenue, one block west of Guilford College and began serving families in the community.

    Pleasant Garden Chapel

    Forbis and Dick Funeral Service in Pleasant Garden has been serving the families of Southeastern Guilford and Northern Randolph Counties since 2004. Located at the corner of Pleasant Garden Road and Ryegate Road in Pleasant Garden, the funeral home has served as a center point for Southern Guilford County and many parts of Randolph County serving areas such as Pleasant Garden, Julian, Climax, Liberty and Franklinville.

    Stokesdale Chapel

    Brooke Funeral Home in Stokesdale has taken on a new look. The interior of the funeral home has been brightened and enhanced over the past year to a comforting and fashionable design. Along with the interior being remodeled the name of the existing chapel has been changed to Forbis and Dick Brooke Chapel.

    Ray Funeral Home

    In 1936, Vance Ray and his wife, Lydia, established Ray Funeral Home at its current location, 119 N. Market Street in Madison. Their son Steve joined the business in 1950. Vance Ray passed away in 1977, and Lydia Ray passed away in 1980.

  • Burroughs Funeral Home

    Burroughs Funeral Home

    Burroughs Funeral Home was founded by Ivey R. Burroughs, Elizabeth N. Burroughs and Luther Fowler in August of 1941. The funeral home was located in downtown Walnut Cove in the Burroughs family residence. Ray Burroughs joined the family business in 1962 and bought Mr. Fowler’s interest.

    Eaton Funeral Service

    Eaton Funeral Service has been serving our Davie County families for over 65 years. On March 1, 1951 W. Leo Whitt and N. Wayne Eaton purchased the Walker Funeral Home in Mocksville from the late Harley S. Walker, who had operated the firm from the early 1920's.
