Mrs. Judy Jordan BeckBECKMOCKSVILLE - Mrs. Judy Jordan Beck, 66, of S. Wentworth Drive, formerly of Cooleemee, died Monday, July 19, 2010, at Autumn Care of Mocksville. She was born July 12, 1944, in Rowan County to the late Robert Scott and Ruby Smith Jordan. Mrs. Beck was a charter member of Victory Baptist Church in Cooleemee and was an active member of the Retired Teachers Association. She retired from Cooleemee Elementary School as a teacher’s assistant with 33 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Thomas Beck. Survivors include a son, David Wayne Beck (Robin) of Mocksville; two granddaughters, Savannah and Summer Beck; a sister, Lynda Jordan Myers (Barry) of Mocksville; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m., Thursday, July 22, at Victory Baptist Church with the Rev. Shelby Harbour officiating. Interment will follow in Rowan Memorial Park in Salisbury. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, July 21, at Eaton Funeral Home. Memorials may be considered for Victory Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 686 Cooleemee, NC 27014.
