Mr. Moir Lee BowmanMoir Lee Bowman, 81, went home to be with Jesus Thursday evening July 15th at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro.A 4:00 PM Funeral service will be held Sunday July 18th at Cedar Falls Primitive Baptist Church with Elders, Vance Jones, Rodney Marshall, Scotty Marshall and Clarence Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A Patrick County, VA native Moir was born March 5, 1929 the son of the late Elder Harry Bowman and Oma Alle Nunn Bowman. He attended Red Bank Primitive Baptist and Wilson Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Molene Lawson Bowman; his daughter Irene Bowman and son Billy Lee Bowman; his brother Joseph William Bowman; grandson, Thomas James “T.J.” Sapp and granddaughter Apryle Dawn Robarge. Moir is survived by his wife of 31 years Helen Bowman of the home; 7 children Mary Kennedy of Winston-Salem, Peggy Hughes and husband Robert of Pfafftown, Bessie Collins of Forbush and Lorene Sapp of Pfafftown, Kitty Robin Moore, Shelia Robarge and Michael Moore all of Ridgeway, VA; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM Saturday July 17th until 2:00 PM Sunday July 18th at the family home in Ridgeway, VA. At that time the body will be taken to the church for the service.
